Can anyone point me to a document detailing the installation of MQ on
SLES 10 x86 64-bit with separate volumes for binaries, logs and queues?

Unfortunately I do not know of any documentation on this.

However, we've got a number of failover solutions where log file path is specified upon queue manager creation (alternatively edit mq.ini) and the qmgr directory is moved and softsymlinked into /var/mqm/qmgrs.

binaries automatically go into different locations than logs or data.

the location of logs and data can be specified at qmgr creation.

None of this has anything to do with the physical storage behind any of these locations.
