Hi all
On system system the (AS/400) vers. 5.4 have a file with a field defined type CLOB.
The data of the field CLOB have to be envoys in a tail of Websphere MQ,
installed on system pSeries with AIX.
I have a program that through a function http_url_post sends the lines CLOB calling a servlet
on system pseries, but I have some problems for the dimensions of the sent data.
Then I am able in alternative to send the data(XML) contained in the field CLOB through tail MQ.
I ask if to have system is necessary on the installed Webspheres MQ Client, and
how SQLRPGLE I can modify my program so that CLOB to read the data and to send it in the remote tail of the system pseries?
Yes, you should always install MQ Client on any machine that does not have MQServer on it and that needs to access MQ. Although I'm not sure if there is one for an OS400/iSeries machine. There isn't one for zOS/zSeries machines (although zLinux can be an MQ Client, I think).
Also, the word you want rather than "tail" is "queue".
I'm likewise guessing that you mean "message" when you say "envoy".
There are sample MQ programs available with the MQ software for your OS, including some RPG samples. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general.
