Is there a clutering restriction that states that all ( I have two ) full repository queue managers in a cluster have to be at the same MQSeries Level ??
.
I'm in the process of migrating to V5.3 from v5.2 on AIX, and planning to upgrade one queue manager at a time, which means that for a short period, one of my full repository queue managers will be at 5.2 while the other will be at 5.3.
.
I do not see any problems doing so, but just wanted to confirm ....

My guess is there would be no issue. If there were it would probably be spelled out in the Quick Beginnings Guide or the release notes for 5.3. Previous versions have been this way. For instance, I've had mixed clusters with 5.1 and 5.2. _________________ Brandon Duncan

Hi,
Did some some minor inconsistencies between AIX and WinNT 4.0 at a recent engagment. Was fixed by a PMR. AIX was 5.1, WinNT was 5.2.1.
Am running 5.2, 5.2.1 and 5.3 on Solaris, Win2k and Win2k Advanced Server respectively with no problems. Repository queue managers on Solaris and Win2kAS.
I would be very suprised if IBM changed the nature of the repositories across versions or platforms as they are usually very meticulous about backwards compatibility.
HTH,
