When setting up an MQ cluster I was getting the following error when starting a cluster receiver channel in our production environment (maintained by IBM Business Services on a Solaris 10 machine):
----- amqrccca.c : 777 --------------------------------------------------------
01/04/08 12:33:32 - Process(3641.232) User(mqm) Program(amqrmppa)
AMQ9557: Queue Manager User ID initialization failed.
EXPLANATION:
The call to initialize the User ID failed with CompCode 2 and Reason 2035.
ACTION:
Correct the error and try again.
(The same error is reported a few times in other forums but without a solution).
In our development and test environment everything went fine. It finally turned out, that IBM Business Services creates new channels with the default MCAUSER(nobody). On altering the MCAUSER to ' ' we were able to start the channel and to integrate the QM into an MQ cluster. But the error is IMHO not cluster specific.
