We are using the base MQ pub/sub and are writing a message from the mainframe to a distributed Windows queue manager where pub/sub is set up. The messages are written from the mainframe, but we never see them on the distributed side. There are no error messages, nothing in the the DLQ. Any ideas of what may be happening or where we might look?

  • are the messages persistent
  • are the messages set up as request with a reply to qmgr and queue (status of publish)
  • Is there a subscription on the MQ broker for the topic?

You might want to stop your channel and check your xmit queue to make sure the messages are even getting written correctly on the mainframe.
