I have a very little exposure to MQ (I read mq primer from ibm) and would like to learn the duties of MQ admin.
could you please gimme the list of mq administrator and please help me how mq admin duties on z/os differs from that of open source.

The accepted phrase for non-z/OS platfrorms is "distributed systems". I'm sure IBM, HP & Sun would not like their Unix flavors described as "open source"!

The biggest differences relates to the differing structures used on z/OS for WMQ objects, noteably storage options, and the differing structures imposed by z/OS itself.
