Hi All,
I am trying to validate a message with unknown tag. The validation doesn't work and passes through without any errors. However, the validation works perfectly fine for the wrong tag order or if any element is mising. I am using validatecontent, validatevalue, validatefullconstraints, validateexception. Any idea what could be the problem. Why this is not working for unkown tags.
Regards
brgmo. |

It's a message set property. Or maybe it isn't. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

If they did they probably would have posted it - if they had time!
Remember this board is not a support desk and people have other things to do than post, for which they are paid.
Nagging because you've not got a response literally after 10 minutes is really a little rude. If your problem is that urgent, leverage your license fee and raise a PMR!
Or seek professional help if you're afraid everyone's just ignoring you because we're against you. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Vitor, please don't pull others.I know you are very good at this. Please try to reform yourself and believe in helping others rather than insulting them.
I have written very clearly that the message is passing validation under certain test conditions while failing at other times. Like it fails to validate when an unknown tag is received or a tag is reapeated twice. However when i test this with xmlspy, all my messages pass validation and so there is no problem with the schema. It is looks like some message broker setting that may be i am not putting properly and which is causing validation to occur only partially. |

brgmo : Please be specific. Post a simple input message and a simple schema which exhibit the problem. Until you do that, nobody can help you. |

I was simply pointing out it's poor netiqutte to poke the board for responses so quickly. It's even poorer to claim urgency and then not respond (as you did to kimbert in your previous post). Or as you've done in this thread for the the last few hours.
If you don't help us to help you, we can't help you. And if you feel you're getting poor treatment here, there's always the PMR route. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Apparently I meant "Content validation" not "Content Type", as a logical property of the complex type. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
