I have a client running CICS 4.1 . I realize that it has been unsupported for quite some time. Are there any experiences or gotchas out there regarding installing and running MQSERIES 6.0 under CICS 4.1 ?

The components to connect WMQ and CICS are integrated into CICS from CICS TS V3.2 onward. Non-TS CICS4.1 is older than that, and not supported.

Websphere MQ version 6 has not been tested with CICS 4.1.

It may work but IBM service will not accept any problem reports.

I doubt the CICS bridge will work since it now uses CICS services not available in CICS 4.1.

Programs using the CICS adapters will probably work but Caveat Emptor.
