Last night I installed Quicken 2008.
After the install I tried to run a Client application written in VB 6.0 and get the file not found error. A search indicates it may not be MQIC32.DLL but a dependent dll and suggests running Depeneds.exe which I don't seem to be able to locate.
When I run the MQExplorer I can see the queue managers in the Navigator panel but cannot open them to see the objects (queues, etc.)
When I try to start a broker I get a failure in bipbroker.exe - Unable To Locate Component: This application has failed to start because MQM.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.
Anyone have any suggestions? _________________ Dean Keister |

Recovered. My path was clobbered. I was able to restore my system from backup with only minor damage to one of my queue managers. I will try reinstalling Quicken 2008 to see if it happens again and if so, let them know. My bat path was:
%SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem
Sorry if this was not MQ related ... _________________ Dean Keister |

Well, it is kind of MQ related...
It's also nice to know that some products decide to clobber PATHS during install.... _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

I've also seen the case where we needed to step up the environment space allocation after installation of a new product...
The path had run out of environment space and just got truncated... _________________ MQ & Broker admin |
