A new application with new userid is going to have access to particular queueu on a queuemanager.(id is there on the server)
So we gave the permissions on queuemanager and queue by using setmqaut.. and checked the permisson by dspmqaut... looks good what ever they want
Question is do We need to restart the Queuemanager or do I need to run REFRESH SECURITY?
Please advice.
Thank you

If the user/group was already existing on the server and the only thing you did was the setmqaut commands, then no the queue manager does not need a restart or refresh security.
If the user/group was added or changed while the queue manager was up then yes a refresh security is called for. |

If they have not tried connecting, then it will just work. If they did try it, then issue the REFRESH SECURITY to dump the cache. When in doubt, issue the REFRESH SECURITY. _________________ Joseph
