Hello all,
I have a requirement to set the trigger type as "Depth" and trigger depth as changable value.
Would any one guide me how to set the trigger depth level dynamically using JMS or Java.
Any suggessions/solutions are welcome.
Thanks in advance. _________________ Failure is not a defeat,it's just a delay, Walk TALL |

This is a bad requirement.
You can only do this with PCF.
It will also be very very unreliable. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Yes,
The way i was thinking would have made the requirement much complex,
anyways i have an idea for this req.
The no. of messages are changable for the trigger app to get triggered.
This can be achieved with the message priority.
All the messahes are set to default 0 and last message is set to 1 and trigger type should be set to every with trigger message priority 1.
let me try, I beleive this would definetly work. _________________ Failure is not a defeat,it's just a delay, Walk TALL |

You definitely don't want trigger every because of the resource drag it is and especially in JAVA you have no way of controlling the number of JVMs created. You can trigger on priority 1 but you should then run it as trigger 1st, make the app configurable and spawn off as many instances as you think safe. You shut the app down when there is no more trigger message available...(i.e. with priority 1) _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

What are you *actually* trying to do?
And why?
maybe you can do this with grouping instead. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
