Release notes for WebSphere MQ V6, refresh pack 6.0.2.0
Quote:
Options to the maintenance install process for Windows

The Quick Beginnings for Windows manual, Chapter 4, section on "Silently installing maintenance updates" describes the parameters which can be passed when installing maintenance. These apply to attended installations as well, that is when the -s flag is not set.

In particular, the option MQPINUSEOK is useful when the installation fails reporting that files are in use (eg. AMQ4756).

Example syntax in this case would be:

WebSphereMQMDV6.0.1.1EnUs.exe [-s] -a MQPINUSEOK=1
(For the self extracting version from the web)

AMQICSDN.exe MQPINUSEOK=1
(Running amqicsdn from the unpacked version)

HTH,
Tibor

I did this and I am still getting a AMQ4756 error installing 6.0.2.2

nothing shows up in the event viewer.

The installer spends a couple (10) minutes at "Checking Files; please wait...", I wish I could skip that step, once the bar is all the way to the right then I see
Code:
"AMQ4756 WebSphere MQ was not installed."

I am running the install from a dos window on WindowsXP, Java 1.5
Code:
amqicsdn -a MQPINUSEOK=1

Do you have base product installed?

6.0.2.2 FP is not a standalone installer.
