Hi,
The version of saveqmgr I downloaded (6.03) does not change the bad CLWLUSEQ value to "QMGR" if an invalid value is returned - although it does display the error mentioned.
Does anyone know if this bug has been fixed for good?
Thanks |

This should have been fixed, and if it's not, I should be able to send you a patch. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

In my upgrades from 5.3 to 6.0 I find that at least a couple of queues always end up with an integer for CLWLUSEQ. I don't think its a bug with MS03 or the command server, they're just reporting what the q has. Its a bug in the migration process from my experience.
Its quite possible you have a queue with an invalid value for CLWLUSEQ. _________________ Peter Potkay

Thanks Peter - you were correct the migration process had populated the value in a handful of queues.
We hadn't noticed it as MQ explorer does not show the value if it odes not match LOCAL or QMGR. At the command line its visible.
Cheers

I think its my fault. The code I put it to "fix up" a bad clwluseq value is in the source for v6.0.3, but it appears the Windows executables weren't rebuilt after that change was made. The unix variants should be OK. If you can recompile the windows source you should be Ok. If not, I'm sure Jeff will help you out. _________________ -wayne |

Yes. I'll email you a new build in just a bit.
Moderators - could someone split this off into a different forum than News/Updates? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
