I've seen this when the RCVR channel is deleted and redefined. Next time this happens, display the receiver channel creation date. |

We haven't touched the reciever channel for past 2 years and this problem has been happening for past 1 month.

Are you sure you don't have a rogue qmgr using and resetting this channel ?
Ex:
channel A.TO.B is used to communicate between qmgrs A and B.
qmgr C (rogue) comes along and defines A.TO.B. It resets it and starts the channel.
Now what happens when A tries to start the channel??? _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

Hmmm, that is odd. Are you at V6.0.2.2? _________________ Joseph

It may not be the remote side that is interfering with this channel. It may be some other qmgr on your local side. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

or something as simple as someone on your side who doesn't know what they are doing (or maybe they do!) issuing a reset of the RCVR channel. _________________ Peter Potkay

Really? Are all channels protected through public key encryption?
Are all the connecting qmgrs protected the same way?
Are all qmgrs in the production MQ network protected the same way??
Is the command server shutdown? How is the qmgr monitored? (note that most monitoring software will run the command server)
All it takes is a pcf message...

And many, many ways to make them regret it!!!!
6 pack of Red Bull and a good, evidence-free witch hunt works quite well. Typically the guilty party is turned in by his peers to make it stop!
(And even if not, it's a lot of fun. An excuse for caffine consumption in the office, which I'm not usually allowed).
But on a serious note, no server can be fully protected, not even a production one. Especially from someone with knowledge of the system. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
