Hello Everybody,

I'm facing a litle problem here.
I have a MQ 6 installed on windows 2000 server, and there are 4 queue managers running in this MQ Server.
there are one queue manager that is not working, and, the person that implements it is out of office, then, I don't hanve any ideia how the system works.
The event viewer shows the follow:

"Event Type: Error
Event Source: WebSphere MQ
Event Category: None
Event ID: 7315
Date: 11/8/2007
Time: 11:09:53 AM
User: N/A
Computer: SCRBHISBRVCP002
Description:
Failed to put message to accounting queue. Reason(2)

The attempt to put a messsage containing accounting data to the queue SYSTEM.ADMIN.ACCOUNTING.QUEUE failed with reason code 2. The message data has been discarded. &N This error message will be written only once for attempts to put a message to the queue as part of the same operation which fail for the same reason.

Ensure that the queue SYSTEM.ADMIN.ACCOUNTING.QUEUE is available and operational. "

Any ideia??
Tks in advance!

Ha. It looks like someone only coded the Event to have only the Completion code, and not the Reason, which is the more important one.

Does the queue exist. Is it enabled for PUT. Do you have any idea what application/process was running when this happened.

The "brute force" method to check this would be to run a Trace, but that would only work if you could predict when this might happen.

Or, you could just turn off Accounting.

Cheers,

Hello Again,

I have checked, the queue SYSTEM.ADMIN.ACCOUNTING.QUEUE was full.
I have increased the queue depth and the windows log don't shows this message again.

But, what is these SYSTEM queues?
Why are they full??
Tks and Brgds

The SYSTEM objects are used by the queue manager. Some are for internal use, holding authorisation or cluster information, some are information for the administrators. This queue is in the latter category, it's being written to because the collection of accounting information has been enabled on the queue manager & one or more of the objects and is not being read off by whoever's enabled it!

You'll find more information in the Monitoring MQ manual & the System Administration Guide.
