Description:
MQSoftware is looking for an experienced SOA consultant to provide analysis of business requirements to ensure compliance with client’s architecture and service standards. Responsibilities will include translation of business problems into technical requirements with emphasis on service-oriented reuse for the development of quality ESB services for our Fortune 500 level clients. Consultant will gather requirements, create technical and business use cases, meet with stakeholders to validate requirements, and create service requirements specifications. MQSoftware develops and sells software in the Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) and middleware markets based around the IBM WebSphere family of products. The typical assignments would be short to medium term engagements at locations local to our client base requiring travel 50+% of the time.

Minimum Required Experience and Education:
Candidates should have the following skills and experience:
Five or more years industry experience in business analyst or similar role
Minimum of 3-5 years middleware experience and 2 years experience in SOA concepts
Skilled in requirements gathering in environments using SOA models for ESB solution delivery
Understanding of business services requirements and process for defining common services.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Detail-oriented in documenting non-functional requirements and acceptance criteria
Experienced with creating business and technical use cases
Familiarity with WebSphere Business Modeler and process modeling techniques and artifacts
Familiar with Rational ClearCase and WebSphere Services Registry & Repository (WSRR)
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Employment Type: Full Time
Salary: commensurate with experience
