Hi,
OS: AIX, mySAP.com 6.0.3, WBI MB 5, MQ 5.3
In connector, I am using ALE & BAPI module. Previously JvmMinHeapSize was 256MB & JvmMaxHeapSize was 1024 MB & MaxNumberOfConnection was 5. We have 110 working dialog processes in SAP application server. I am using Trace Level 3 for connector.
We have 20/30/40 MB messages for ALE event. But per day volume is around 1000.
I got the following trace few days before --
Quote: |
[Time: 2007/10/24 00:00:42.040] [System: ConnectorAgent] [SS: SAPConnector]
[Thread: appPolling (#1793501998)] [Type: Trace] [Mesg: Caught java.lang.
OutOfMemoryError: exiting...] |
I thought I have to increase java heap size. At that time I recycled the adapter & was working fine.

The current pool size limit is 4 connections.] |
This is log file of connector. This time connection was exhausted & message went to fault queue. As far as I know, message should not go to fault queue, should reside into request queue of adapter. Am I wrong?
We are going to implement another project on same server which has over 60000 transactions per day, but BO size is small (around 500KB) & almost are request processing (SAP inbound).
Under considering all the issues, I have increased the JvmMinHeapSize to 512MB & MaxNumberOfConnection to 10. Last two days everything is working fine. However I am worried with increasing MaxNumberOfConnection as it will consume more memory.
Is this right configuration? Please advise me.
Client is now asking me to track memory utilization for connector. But I don't know how.
Is there any easy way to take memory utilization records? Please guide me.
Your help will be highly appreciated. _________________ Regards |

Hi
Out of memory issues happens due to lot of reasons, if the connector process pollutes the server (which include orphan process too). The connector out of memory issue happens.
It'll be good if you can take a snap shot of process when this issue happens.
Increasing the memory will not be feasible, this may occur again.
We usually re-cycle/re-start the adapter in midnight (where load is less), it'll start as new in the next day, this help us to avoid this.
There is something called connection time out, look in to this, if you dont like to re-cycle/re-start every day.
for the second issue, go through the below link

Hi Gayathri,
Which adapter you have used? I did not get anything like connection timeout. Recycling everyday is not possible as there are huge transaction everytime.
I did not get any answer from the URL.
FYI, last 6 days, connector is working absolutely fine. However I wanted to know the result & reason of connection exhausted & monitoring method of java heap size.
Thanks _________________ Regards |
