SKILLS FOR EACH POSITION:
========================
5 – 8 Years Java development experience, MQ Series, ebspshere, Web and client server technology including XML, JAVA, J2EE, SQL, WASD, LDAP, UNIX, knowledge of Database Management Systems such as DB2 UDB, SQL server, and Oracle, Working knowledge of change tracking, defect tracking, and request management systems like ClearCase, CVS, PVCS
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:
========================
For both positions the manager is open to training an applications or systems developer with the right attitude and demeanor for great team work!
* Ability to make recommendations and used of performance monitoring tools
* Ability to use statistics to make systems recommendations on upgrades and needed customizations
* Strong understanding of performance tuning and monitoring
* Automate and customize utilities
* Improve application modules fo rthe system
* Configuration management a HUGE PLUS
* Provides technical guidance and design in any IT application area requiring specific expertise support such as file structure, choice of language, and programming techniques to promote departmental/corporate goals.
* Develops program specifications and coordinates construction of programs.
* Develops test data in conjunction with the users. Assists in the resolution of problems by identifying defects in analysis, design or code.
* Develops/maintains technical and business knowledge through training, classes, research, etc.
* Meets to identify requirements (e.g. data, information needs, processing, specific output, functional specs and development of test data).
* Analyzes and documents requirements to determine the desired outcomes in order to formulate the design of the system and/or offer alternative solutions in a timely manner.
* Provides project management regarding all technical aspects of achieving a department or corporate goal, such as modifying/creating and implementing a system or subsystem, monitoring established deliverables and task timeframes, or training end users on the operational procedures of the system.
* Evaluates multi-platform vendor software packages against corporate guidelines and user needs. Gains consensus to implement most reasonable solution. |
