Hi There,

I am trying to install Fixpack 10 for WBIMB 5.0 on Suse Linux 9. I downloaded U811953.tar from IBM's website and unzipped it in a directory with full permissions, while trying to run installer using following command

./setuplinuxia32 -console -is:javaconsole

its failing with following error

JVMXM004:JVM is performing abort shutdown sequence
JVMDG217:Dump Handler is processing a signal - Please wait.

Have any one had the same issue with this fixpack?. I checked env variables mainly LD_ASSUME_KERNEL , PATH & LD_LIBRARY_PATH and didn't find anything wrong there. Can anyone please suggest what else might be wrong.

Thanks & Regards,
Pawan

Is your problem resolved, where are you executing this command from ... I mean which user...??
Thanks & Regards,
Pawan

There should be a log file somewhere, likely in /tmp, that tells you more about what's going on to cause the JVM to abort.

There may also be more information on the standard output, that you didn't show, before the line that the JVM is aborting? Or is it just a bunch of '.''s?

I found a 'core' file bing created in the same directory but that's in unreadable format

There should be a log file, likely in /tmp.

Otherwise, try re-downloading and unpacking the FP again.

Make sure you're running as root.

And if that doesn't work, open a PMR.

Hi All,

i've managed to solve this problem. Installer was not able to pick the right JVM. you can tell the JVM path to the installer using -is:javahome <JVM DIR>

Thanks to everyone for the help.

Regards,
Pawan
