Hello everyone,
I am on a project that is attempting to connect our Oracle 10g Application Server to a remove MQ 6.0 Server on another network. We have reviewed all of IBMs and Oracles documentation, spent hours combing over Google search results, as well as this website but have not found anything specific to this situation.
Our end result would be to use a bindings file to connect to the MQ from OAS, use MDBs to read messages from one MQ queue and a separate set of MDBs to write messages out to other MQ queues on the same server. We have a "hacky" solution in place that does not use bindings files, but configuring it to run in different test environments is a hassle. I believe a bindings file would simply the process, as the Resource Adapter could simply reference it for the connection information. But to date I have not seen any documentation that illustrates how a Resource Provider, created from the bindings file with the fscontext.jar, can be tied to a Resource Adapter using IBM jars.
I know we can use Oracle JMS functionality to establish this connection, however once this solution is in place we want to add ETC functionality to it.
Does anyone have any suggestions on additional information that could be referenced to solve this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Hi
if it is only MQ and Oracle 10g Apps server, and you want to connect to it
can think of using MQ link Adapter to connect with apps server.
Next one think of developing a JMS program which helps to connect.

You can also use the Oracle Messenging Gateway and treat the queues where the messages ultimately arrive as native oracle JMS (AQ)... Enjoy _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

We are running the Oracle Message Gateway in a non-mission critical area of our project. We are not looking to use it again for a reason. |
