It's been discussed a few times in here - the search button is your friend.
Basically you write an application that does it, or buy a tool that does it. As you've posted in the broker forum I'll assume you have broker, so you could use the File Extender, but that's not considered production strength. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

There's a difference between the WMB File Extender and the MQ File Transfer that comes with MQ.
My own personal opinion, speaking only for myself, is that the File Extender is an excellent way of processing files from mostly local file systems in Broker.
And the MQ File Transfer is fine for moving files from one place to another - but doesn't appear to address a lot of the requirements that are necessary for an enterprise file movement/transfer solution. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

There is a system (in production)in London that writes several hundred thousand files a day using MBFE.
I would say it s production strength. There are a few rough edges tha you have to understand though. One you know its little foibles it woks fine and very reliably. _________________ WMQ User since 1999
