I have a client who has on their requirement list delivery of messges to SMS enabled devices. Has anyone run into this requirement. I would be very interested in the solution if one was achieved. If you ran into a dead end like I am I would like to hear that also. (End my endless search)

Everyone here is talking about the Short Messaging Service on a cell phone right ? They go hand in hand...hmmm....would I like to hear more on this...
I would have thought that you would either have to call some external webservice (some websites provide internet to cell phone messaging) using MB, or perhaps install a VOIP software which provides you APIs to put a message...

Do share - I'd have a use for this technology! There are any number of people who deserve a txt to tell them something's gone wrong. At all hours of the day and night!! _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

guys, i did not mean using only MQSeries for the same. guess i was in too hurry to type ..
usage of MQSeries for sms is only limited to transferring the sms to destined service center station...
ofcource as elvis said interaction b/w station n instrument requires s/w etc
the client for which i m wrking rt now uses MQSeries for sms coupled wd java devices to interact wd cell phones _________________ Cheers |

Does that send SMS? And is it cheaper than beating a Java monkey until he writes whatever code will (it seems) do this?
And if it's cheaper is it as much fun? _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
