Hi,
I have installed the IBM Message Service Client for C/C++. I have set the necessary paths. When I run the sample code, I get a connection failure with no error message but the return code of 26.
Should I install the MQ Client (that has mqic32.dll) seperately. Or should I do any other configuration.

Thanks

Yes, you need the MQ Client installed.

Every time and every place you need to make an MQ Client connection, you need to install the MQ Client.

From the IA94 web page:
Quote:
NOTE 1 - If using WebSphere MQ, the machine used to run the XMS application must be installed with either the WebSphere MQ Client libraries or a local queue manager. If the WebSphere MQ Client libraries are used then the v6.0 libraries are recommended for client mode connections to both v5.3 or v6.0 queue managers.

So yes
