What level of v6?
What user is MQ running as?
Are there any messages in the Event Log? _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Version 6.0.2.0
I am running as local user.
Nothing in the evetn log says why MQ fails to start automatically. |

I'll assume you mean "Local System".

Does it say anything, any MQ errors or messages at all?
You might also want to check this:

Check the qmgrs' properties. There is a checkbox for start automatically. It needs to be checked. This setting will change the registry.
