Hii all,

I have a small problem here.

I have an Veritas Clustered unix qmgr and a mainframe queue manager.
We created all the required definitions on our side and the mainframe people are done with there work.
We sent the test message from my side to the mainframe side and it was sucessful.
I used the amqsput sample program to test this.
Is there any utility / sample program from the mainframe side, which can be used to put a test message on my unix qmgr local queue.
please help me on this.

Thanks,
Vijaya

yes they are, but they need to be compiled. its in the SCSQCOBS SCSQASMS SCSQC37S SCSQwhatever libraries.

anyway, there are enough supportpacs available that should work without compiling.

you could also asl your host guys to define a remotequeue RRR that points to you, and them you send them another message using amqsput with target queue RRR, then the message is routed back to you (thats maybe the fastest way if they do not have any tools at hand).

Hii,

There's already a remote queue defined on my mainframe side which points to my local queue. Since my local and the mainframes remote queue are same...how can I do an amqsput to there remote queue??..
I feel I would end up sending a message to my own local queue.
Advise me here..

Create a remote q (whatever name you want) that points to the mainframe's remote queue.

See the message cross the channels and endup in your local queue...

Enjoy
