I ran my mqsicreateaclentry command against a group and then I subsequently added more users to that group. Without a Config Manager restart the new user had the correct rights.
I've searched the Info center and wasn't able to find anything comprable to the Refresh Security command we have for MQ. But neither did I find any documentation that said group memberships don't get cached.
Can I rely on this behaviour? Or do I have to bounce the Config Manager after adding users to an existing group to be sure? _________________ Peter Potkay

I think only Santa's Little Helper can say for sure... but there's no reason not to bounce the CM.
There's very little reason to leave the CM running all the time, except in a DEV environment where you expect lots of frequent deployments from developers. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general.

I assume you mean me Jeff
You shouldn't need to bounce the Config Manager; the reason why a restart works is that the CM caches the stuff it discovers from the OS, and there's no surefire way for the OS to notify the CM if that cache is dirtied.
However, the cache for each user is cleared after five minutes, so you may find things magically start working if you wait.
