Hi All,

I am trying to get my "surrounding" cluster qmgrs to "re-learn" about relating qmgr repositories (all within a cluster) ..

I am trying to clear the SYSTEM.CLUSTER.REPOSITORY.QUEUE, however am getting a object in use error. I killed the process 'amqrrmfa' (kill -9) which I believe should release the "lock" on the qmgr and allow me to clear this queue.. This is not working though..

Any ideas on how I can clear this queue ?

thanks all

PS: I am trying to perform the second reply in this thread: http://www.mqseries.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=21975&sid=7ac526efd6bea8ea759e692a1a898003

Even on a queue manager that has no clustering configuration, the SYSTEM.CLUSTER.REPOSITORY.QUEUE contains messages.

I would strongly suggest that you DO NOT change messages on this queue, but allow MQ to change them by using the proper clustering commands.

I would recommend that you read the clustering manual which contains instructions on administering your cluster, including getting queue managers to "re-learn" the configuration.

Use DIS QS to find the process which has the queue open, and end or kill it.

I agree with the previous advice - do NOT mess with this queue.
The consequences will almost certainly not be what you expect, and will probably result in you having to delete and redefine the cluster qmgrs. If IBM Support find out that you have done this, that is the only advice you will get from them.

I would not trust a thread that is that old about clusters. Clusters have come a huge way since.
If you need to boot out a qmgr from the cluster look up the reset cluster command...

Enjoy
