We have a problem with the WBI mySAP Adapter. We are using WebSphere Message Broker (WMB) v6. The incoming message from the adapter to WMB, the field CodedCharSetId in the MQMD has the value of 819 (ASCII) so when the message has Chinese characters, they come garbled. We could not find in the documentation how to change this value. The value should be any double byte code like 1208 ("utf-8").
Do you have any idea about how to configure this on the adapter ?
For the forum, actually the problem was our way of looking at the output message. If we open the message file with Notepad (fyi:you can edit Unicode text in Notepad) but we leave any of the message headers (MQMD or RFH) in the file then every double byte character shows as garble. If you remove all headers, close and open the file again, then double byte characters show fine.
