Curent OS version is OS/400 V5R2. If it is upgraded to V5R4 what is the impact in MQseries. Current Mq series version is 5.2 .

MQ 5.2 will remain unsupported regardless of the level of operating system.

It means that if something goes wrong, it'll be impossible to tell if it's an incompatibility between the versions or a previously undectected feature of v5.2 that's suddenly heaved up.

But since you're still on v5.2 that's been a risk for some time now so your position will not be materially worse after the OS upgrade!

Join the rest of us in the 21st Century and move to v6. Or at least the late 20th and move to v5.3.
