I need to increase the size of a buffer pool which seems simple enough. I am hoping that someone can tell me how I can check that MQ currently has enough allocated resources to support the additional 30,000 buffers I want to add to an existing buffer pool.
The manual says "Determine how much space is available for new buffers by looking at the CSQY220I messages in the log." If it is referring to the MSTR log, I do not find such an entry. Is the log referred to the MSTR log?
Thanks in advance. _________________ Make three correct guesses consecutively and you will establish a reputation as an expert. ~ Laurence J. Peter |

It might be referring to the JES log. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Let's say I apply this change right now, if the MQP1MSTR log in JES says I have 700M available, does anyone see any risk in increasing size of 1 buffer pool by 118M?
THE BIG QUESTION is... will any MQ applications notice that I made the change? I can't have any currently running applications breaking.
Thanks in advance. _________________ Make three correct guesses consecutively and you will establish a reputation as an expert. ~ Laurence J. Peter |
