Can anyone please advice whether WBIMB can be implemented in the following scenario:

There is a source server in whose database, files are generated periodically.Currently the generated files are transferred to a directory on a Linux server through FTP and from here the files are transferred to another Linux server through WebsphereMQ and PM4Data.Then,finally from here the files are transferred to destination server through FTP.

Our requirement is to configure and connect WBIMB to the source server's database so that when the files are generated there,WBIMB will pickup the files and transfer it to the destination server.I mean when a new row will be inserted into the table in source server's database ,can WBIMB retrieve and process that information to the destination server?
OR WBIMB CAN ONLY RETRIEVE EXISTING DATA FROM A TABLE?Please advice........

Does it mean we have to write a trigger query on the database or WBIMB will automatically deploy the message flow when a table will be updated in the database?

Nothing automatically deploys a message flow.

You need to stop everything you are trying to do.

You need to immediately go through the Overview section in the Information Center on Message Broker, including the Quick Tour.

You need to tell your superiors that you are not properly trained for the work that they are asking you to do.

You then need to get training on Broker, or you need to spend a lot more of your time TRYING and READING.

You won't get free training on Broker here.

You do not understand how the product works well enough - or you have not demonstrated that you understand it by the way you have worded your question - to do what you are trying to do.

If you were desperate you might investigate DB2 MQ Functions:

You also may want to read about the products discussed in this redbook: http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/abstracts/sg247132.html

Then, you can read this developerworks whitepaper to see how the DB2 event messages can be processed using WebSphere Message Broker... http://www-128.ibm.com/developerworks/websphere/library/techarticles/0609_matthews/0609_matthews.html

This approach does NOT use event triggers - instead, information is taken from the DB2 logs once an update has been completed.
