Is there a performance impact from having the scheduling server run every five minutes versus every hour? If so, how can I can verify that? Does changing the time from five minutes to one hour double, triple, ? the performance? Thanks. |

Hi,
I am not sure how much would the performance effect be, but will surely have some. If you have some powerful machine with more than 1 CPU's and it dedicated for MQWF then I guess it shouldn't be a problem.
By reducing the scheduling interval, it will help you only if there are lots of notification to be send.
Cheers

The performance impact depends on the total number of activityInstances and ProcessInstances which must be checked by the Scheduling server. I have used 5 minutes in the past, and on a lightly loaded system or one with a powerful processor, it was not a problem. I would however avoid any time less than 5 minutes _________________ John McDonald
