Hello guys,

One of my Qmgrs is failing due to a resource problem. The J2EE applications are reporting a problem RC 2102.

I found a FDC with following information. I found a n APAR at IBM. But I just wanted to know if some one knows another way to solve it. Since I had to solved quickly if not I'm going to escalate this to my board to promote an controlled outage to apply the APAR.

That APAR has nothing to do with your problem.

That APAR is for HP-UX.

You are running AIX.

You probably did not perform the necessary steps, as listed in the Quick Beginnings Guide for AIX, to provide enough of the given resources (it's clear from the FDC you posted what resources are missing).

Or you are using inetd to start your listener, instead of runmqslr.

Jefflowrey:

We are running the lister using "runmqlsr" the INETD is not set to start the listener.

Recently this qmgr was upgraded to 6.0. I'm going to check with the guy who installed that version.

I wonder if yuo can point what is the resource in question.

Best Regards.

There are comments in the Quick Beginnings guide, where it talks about configuring users.

IIRC this relates specifically to 32 bit client operations and the limit of in memory processes they can use...

There should be some resolution proposition (env var) in either the probe ID or the documentation...

Enjoy
