My current MAXMSGL for my QMGR is 27MB. I have been requested to increase this amount to 100MB. Aside from the QL, and my XMITQ, and CHLs changing I know I must also change the size liimit on the QMGR itself. Can i simply alter the maxmsgl for the qmgr through mqsc? or do I need to rebuild the qmgr? _________________ Bradley M. Lovell |

Not tried it yet.... This is a production QMGR, don't really feel like guessing on a FRiday Night . Want to simply ensure this can be done w/o restart or rebuild _________________ Bradley M. Lovell |

It shouldn't need either.
Anything that can be changed with MQSC is changed immediately.
Well, except Refresh Cluster - which you should never do, because it disrupts the cluster. It may not finish until after all of your channels have stopped and started again. Even if the runmqsc command completes. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Don't forget to increase MAXMSGL on your dead letter queue as well. |
