1. ask you colleagues (of course you shared your production-sensitive knowledge or wrote it down in a safe place for emergency).

2. visit a psychologist, maybe you are able to remember the password in a hypnosis session.

if 1 and 2 does not help, create new key database and certificates

Get a new certificate.

Install it in the new database.

Keep the password for the new database somewhere safe.

Thanks for your reply

I have created new key database file and moved these to ssl directory, I have deleted old files. Now the channels are running fine but I haven't restarted the qmgr, how would I know that the new certificate is being used.

Thanks

Looks like you just created a new repository but not imported the certificates into it.

What are your Queue Manager SSL key repository properties set to?

What are your Channel SSL properties set to?

Are you able to establish a connection between this SSL enabled channel (may be your assumption!) and non-SSL channel?

Did you check the WMQ Security manual on how to verify a SSL connection?
