Hi,
i'm new to MQ. i want to migrate MQ from 5.3 to 6.0 on HP-UX. Can anyone send breif steps that i've to follow for migration? I'm very much worried about the MQ back up. i cant follow the steps from HP-UX quick reference. How can i install the later versions od FIX PACKs in MQ? Please help me out.

Whenever I am new to a technology, I spend as much possible time as I can reading documentation, and looking for information about the questions I have - as I assume that all of the questions I have will be the same as questions that other new people ask.
I'm sure if you spent ten minutes looking around, you'd find lots of discussion on Migration, from lots of other people who are "new to MQ".
And I'm sure that during that ten minutes, five other people who are "new to MQ" will have not bothered to ask this question, and found the answers themselves already.

Like the ones in the Migration guide perhaps?

Then doing the migration is a bad idea, as you may have trouble following those steps as well

By following the steps supplied with the fix packs. Unless you have problems with those as well
