Hi,
I am still quite new to MQ, but have a developer who wants to do an application stress test, which will mean about 350 000 7KB messages onto one queue.
I know that MAXDEPTH can go up to 999 999 999, so I dont have a problem there, but the messages are persistent, and I currently have the following logging set up:
LogPrimaryFiles=3
LogSecondaryFiles=2
LogFilePages=1024
LogType=CIRCULAR
LogBufferPages=0
LogDefaultPath=/var/mqm/log
Is this possible
How much diskspace do I need in /var/mqm ?
Should I change my logging settings
Cheers

Depends how many of the messages are in the same unit of work. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

You should change your logging settings, regardless.
Those are the defaults, and I can guarantee you will run into an issue with them eventually. So you might as well change them now, rather than later. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

better you use the /opt/mqm/samp/bin/amqsblst to test if it o.k or not. |
