Hi,
I've been searching the internet to find out if there is a way to see when a bar-file was deployed, a good thing to know is that I have to work with a version 5 broker
I think most people would want to know at some time when something was deployed, the only problem is that although I do seem to find some hints it should be possible, but not how to do it.
I found this (for broker v6) , my english is not completely perfect but if you ask me it says you could see the deployment date before version 6 and since we have the last version before 6 .....

Run-time versioning
The enhanced versioning capabilities introduced to the development environment in the last release have been extended to the runtime environment. All resources deployed can be tagged to version, author, and other useful information in addition to the standard complied time and deployment time attributes. The new information is displayed in the administration interface making it easy to see which resources have been deployed to production systems. |
I did find some stuff in an API which mentioned some functions to be able to see the deployment time, so I guess it must be stored somewhere, the only problem is that I can't seem to find where.
Any of you could help me please? |

This information is only available in Message Broker v6. The deployment time was not recorded at all in v5.

Ok fair enough, then explain to me what they wrote there in the quote of my first post? I litterally copied it from an IBM page....
I don't think I'm reading it wrong, although some of the explanations are so complicated it's hard to tell.
Or do they mean it was incorporated in like version 6.1 and the site I copied it from was talking about 6.2 or something? It's not quite that clear is it? |

V5 introduced the whole concept of BAR files, and the ability to integrate with change management and versioning systems like CVS (through the Eclipse Team support). These are the "capabilities introduced to the development environment". Prior to v5, you were stuck with the Config Manager which provided no versioning capability whatsoever.
The v6 improvements allowed you to store and report versioning information directly from the admin tools.
Cheers
