I had created a cluster with 2 full repos and 2 partial repos.
Now i have removed all the Qmgrs from the cluster.
But still the cluster name is showed in the Explorer.
When i want to add new Qmgrs in the cluster it doesnt allow me to add
It all does not allow me to create a New cluster with the same name as the name is already present
Can someone tell me how to delete the cluster name which doesnt have any Qmgrs listed in it
Thanks |

I think you can highlight the cluster name, right click, and choose Hide. _________________ MQSeries.net helps those who help themselves.. |

You said you have no qmgr in the cluster but do you have any queues in the cluster, or any channels (clussdr, clusrcvr)?

Remember there is something about a 90 day retention policy for the repository...
Best to do a dis clusqmgr(*) and reset cluster forceremove with the output...
But then I always use runmqsc command for cluster stuff. Never use the Gui... (comes from the 5.3 days where the GUI was quite unreliable for cluster operations...

There should then be the option to remove the hidden entry... _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

To add qmgrs to a cluster you first need a full repository... better 2 FRs.

Ya but if I have removed all the Qmgrs from the clusters(even the full repos) and now want to use the same cluster name for other Qmgr to be a part of it....
i will have to either add the Qmgrs to it...or I will should be able to create a new cluster(which cannot be done as the earlier cluster name didnt get deleted) |

well, i tried to recreate your scenerio at my end...
MQ 6.0.2.1 @ windows XP
I created a cluster with 2 full repos and 2 partial repos. and removed all the Qmgrs from the cluster.
once all the qmgrs are removed from the cluster the cluster name automatically gets disappeared from the explorer... may be a restart of explorer might help u..
else check out for the errors/exceptions thrown by MQ/QMgrs onto your machine _________________ Cheers |
