Hi!!!

I'm writing a simple node in Java and I noticed a very strange thing.
I want to get some data from Oracle database, so I'm using MbSQLStatement and its select method. I had VARCHAR2 fields in my table and I received null when I was trying to select some data from this table.

Some months ago Günter started a similar topic (MbSQLStatement.select() returns NULL for CLOB data). He couldn't select data from CLOB fields, but he could from CHAR fields.

Well, I used his advice. I changed all fields type from VARCHAR2 into CHAR and NOW IT'S WORKING!!!

Hmm, very strange. Should I go to my friend who prepared database schema using Oracle Designer and ask him to change all fields type from VARCHAR2 into CHAR, because WMQI can't cope with it?

I really would like to use VARCHAR2 field type so I would be gratefull for any advice.

Have a nice day,
Mariusz
