Hi,
I have two boxes both having 1 queue manager each as a part of a cluster. I have a cluster queue A.Reply. Now what happens one of the box hosting one of the queuemanager goes down. A.Reply is a cluster queue which holds the response being processed by some application and response put into it. Now my task is to see that messages are not being put into the A.reply of the queuemanager which is down or it crashed or the queuemanager which is dowb should not get the messages.
As of my knowledge cluster will take care of it. but I m not sure can pls someone suggest.
Thanks

That will depend on how the application is sending the Reply. If it following the "normal" MQ pattern of sending the message to the QM/Q specified in the MQMD, then the messages will back up, waiting for the QM to become active again.
If the application is sending the replies to the Reply Q, without specifying the QM, then the messages will be routed to the still available QM. But, how will the application running know about replies that were sent to it, in response to requests that were sent from a different application.
