Hi all,

My solaris MQ server is around 15 amqrmppa process's.
Some are using alot of CPU, can i relate these to a particular SVRCONN channel? I think no, but that would be useful.

Also does everyone remove/disable the SYSTEM.DEF.SVRCONN channel for security purposes? Good practice i think.

Thanks!

I don't think you can, but you might want to check this out if you're not on the latest v5.3 or v6:

If you do a DIS CHS(*) ALL on the server, one of the attributes displayed for each channel is JOBNAME. From the runmqsc manual:

Quote:
JOBNAME
Name of job currently serving the channel.
On .. UNIX systems, and Windows, this is the concatenation of the process identifier and the thread identifier of the MCA program, displayed in hexadecimal.

For example, if the attribute is displayed as:

JOBNAME(0000303900000007)

this means that the channel is running in process 0x3039, 12345, in thread 7.
