...I have defined a sender channel MQ_BUS.TO.WAS6BUS with the following authorities defined to the Principal "MCAUSER"
#> dspmqaut -m MQ_BUS -n MQ_BUS.TO.WAS6SIB -t chl -p mquser
Entity mquser has the following authorizations for object MQ_BUS.TO.WAS6SIB:
dsp
ctrl
When I launch MQ Explorer and connect to the QMGR I can see the channel and I can start and stop it. However none of my colleagues can see the channel from their MQ explorer. All the security setting are server-side. Why can't my colleagues see the channel????
Unixdude.... do you have Refresh Pack 6.0.2.0 or greater applied? if so then I suggest that you ask your colleagues to apply this too... see below
Note 3: If you want to look at queues with WebSphere MQ Explorer in this way, you will need to have Refresh Pack 6.0.2.0 or greater applied. A bug in the Explorer prior to this meant that the failure to display SYSTEM.AUTH.DATA.QUEUE (a queue which it is not possible to give a non-mqm user access to) prevented any queues from being displayed. This is documented more fully in APAR IC49051.
