Hi,
I've sent some 6 odd messages, from MF.
But only couple of them were reaching the target Q.
I contacted EMI, regarding this issue. They've found that, only couple of messages are reaching the Alias Q itself.
But my program, gives a clean return code in MQPUT, for all the 6 mesages.
How could i trace the problem with the rest of the messages.
Regards,
Ram |

Where is WMQ installed?
Is it a local one or a remote one?
How are you putting messages in the queue?
How about looking into error logs?
How about looking into dead letter queue?
How about try putting messages to local queue?

If you're using v6 there are message tracing facilities.
But don't forget you can successfully put a message even if it's addressed to the Klingon homeworld - it's only when the queue manager tries to resolve the destination the trouble starts. This is why queue managers have dead letter queues; to deal with all the successfully put messages that can't go anywhere.
Work out what's different about the addressing of the working messages from the non-working. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
