Hi,
We've stumbled over this annoying issue some time ago; when deploying flow with a call to the esql function which defines an external java method from mapping node, the jar wouldn't automatically be added to the bar as part of the flow. Naturally we had an exception in the mapping node saying something like "java class not found".
Finally we found an ugly workaround of adding an unconnected compute node (that is never actually used/reached, that is) which calls the same java function discussed - this worked, and the jar was finally added to the bar.
Now my question is: has anyone come across this bug(?) or have I missed something? I didn't see any rule of exception about using external java functions, say limiting the use to compute nodes only.. IS this a bug?
Thanks a lot,
Joseph |

well, seems like nobody uses java functions from mapping as this issue seems to be an obvious bug that has not been solved with MBT 6.0.2
Can someone make a simple test and confirm the weird behavior please? |

For the mapping node, I would expect you to wrap your java function in an ESQL function.
You mean to tell me that you have a reference to the java class in your ESQL function project and the jar does not get added ? _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

Sorry if I wasn't clear - I of course am using an esql wrapping for the java function and it works fine if I call it from compute node.

Yes, exactly so. The calling project has reference to the JAVA project but the jar still is not added... |
