Hi,
I am trying to add the DB2 Resource manager to my queuemanager. I am using MQSeries 5.2 for WINNT.
I added the following entries in my registry
under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE->SOFTWARE->IBM->MQSeriues->CurrentVersion->COnfiguration->QueueManager->MYQUEUEMANAGER
Under this I added a key called "XAResourceManager" and then under this I added the following Strings (with their respective values)
Name
SwitchFile
ThreadofControl
XAOpenString
But when I try to start my queuemanager after that I am getting the following error
"06/18/02 17:17:35
AMQ7880: Error code 71 starting TEST2/Queue Manager MQSeries service.
EXPLANATION:
The MQSeries service was unable to start TEST2/Queue Manager. The error message
reported was as follows: An expected stanza in the configuration data is
missing or contains errors."
I am getting stuck with this error. Can someone please tell me where I am doing wrong or probably I am not adding at the correct place in registry.

You should use MQSeries Services snap-in to configure DB2 as resource manager for your queue manager. To do this,
1. Right click on queue manager and select properties.
2. Goto Reources tab.
3. Click on New and enter correct values for the fields.
For more information, please refer to MQSeries System Administration Guide (Chapter 12).

Hi Kirani,
Thnx for the reply.
NOw I am facing quite a weird problem. The MQseries is unable to pick up the switch file from my system. I am quite sure and also checked various times that the file exists at the location where I specified in the XAResourceManager stanza. I am cuttinf the error which I got
Secondly I wanna ask whether we can use the jdbcdb2.dll file as the switch file which is supplied with the MA88 for WinNT (under lib/jddc folder of MA88)

The queue manager will continue without this module.
EXPLANATION:
The dynamically loadable file d:\Program Files\MQSeries\bin\jdbcdb2.DLL was not
found.
ACTION:
Check that the file exists and is either fully qualified or is in the
appropriate directory.

AMQ7622: MQSeries could not load the XA switch load file for resource manager 'TEST'.
EXPLANATION:
An error has occurred loading XA switch file jdbcdb2. If the error occurred
during startup then the queue manager will terminate. At all other times the
queue manager will continue without this resource manager meaning that it will
no longer be able to participate in global transactions. The queue manager will
also retry the load of the switch file at regular intervals so that the
