Where is your workspace?
Is it the default location? Is your project name long? Did you use a long broker schema/package for the message set?
Do you have write permission to the workspace? Do you have free disk space? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

it is in the default location ( OS is WinXP Pro ) . Either long project name or short has the same result. There is over 1GB free space and other types of projects can be created in the same workspace. That's why i don't think that is related with user permissions. |

I've got the same problem now when I try to create message definition file from DTD. Any idea / solution?

I encountered this a while back with a pre-release version of the message set editor. I managed to get around it by discarding my existing workspace and moving everything to a completely new one. As a quick test, you could try creating a brand new workspace and then create a single message set project within it. |

ok, tried that, no change. In the detail of the message the following is noted:
An error occured while creating \DTD_MSP\DTD_MS\normalorder.mxsd.
Unable to write to the local file system: \DTD_MSP\DTD_MS\normalorder.mxsd
Refresh the workspace.
Problems encountered while deleting resources.
Could not delete: C:\workspace\delme\DTD_MSP\DTD_MS\normalorder.xsd.
Could not delete: C:\workspace\delme\DTD_MSP\DTD_MS\normalorder.xsd.
This xsd is created when you make a msg set from a dtd. _________________ If you do not know the answer or you get the urge to answer with "RTFM" or "Search better in this forum", please refrain from doing so, just move on to the next question. Much appreciated.

Hi All,
I faced the same problem, but eventually i got the solution too.
After I got the error, I cancelled the operation of creating the message set project, but was still able to see the message set project in my tool kit.
under it i created the message set, and able to also message set definitions too.
Cheers

I had this problem with version 6.0.2 and tried a lot of different things including a new workspace. After working through the current version for a while I went out to the website and grabbed the latest fixpack 009. After installing that (it took quite a while to install) my problem was fixed and I was able to create Message Sets. I have RAD on this machine as well and I'm not sure if that is a complicating factor in this since the Toolkit shares the same installation of eclipse with RAD. Another person here doesn't have RAD and didn't have this problem.
Here is the link for that fixpack:
