Currently we have the config manager and the broker on different servers. The config manager is on Windows platform and the brokers are on Solaris. Now, we plan to move the config manager to the same server as the broker and re-create the environment. We also plan to use the same Qmgr for both the config manager and the broker. These changes are proposed to be done on the LIVE servers. I have been searching for some docs/pointers which would give me the pros and cons for the same. It would be really helpful if you can give me some pointers or let me know the advantages/disadvantages of doing the above mentioned change. Also, would like to request you if you can be a bit descriptive in your explanations.
If you run the configMgr on Solaris, you can not access the Windows User Registry - unless the Solaris OS is configured to use the Windows user registry as it's user registry. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general.
