Everyone, I copy and pasted my info below from a thread I started a little bit ago for Middleware engineer role within a Fortune 50 company. This will save me the time on my intro, but the Career Opportunity below is different from the first post. Please excuse my copy/paste. I felt it was warranted.
Good afternoon everyone. Thank you for the opportunity to post here in your forums. I realize you folks get quite a bit of spam and junk in here, so with that known, it is with great respect that I would like to post the following real opportunity with a VERY solid and sought after organization.
My firm has been retained by a Fortune 50 Employer in California who is very interested in hiring several individuals for a key roles within there IT organization.

B2B Engineer
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY – (DVDC, WC, Vancouver, Arcadia, etc…)

The Information Technology Department has an opening for a B2B Engineer position.
Qualifications: The following are preferred or desired unless specifically stated:
• 3-5 years experience working on large IBM mainframe systems using JCL, ISPF and IBM utilities.
• Must possess very strong scripting and programming skills including REXX, Windows, and Unix.
• Candidate must have superior verbal and written communication skills, documentation skills, and teamwork skills.
• Experience with Connect Enterprise, Cyclone, PGP, PKZip, and Gentran preferred.
• Experience with B2B protocols including FTP, Applicability Statement, HTTP, and SOAP preferred.
• Experience with security protocols preferred.
• Experience with Data Translation mapping preferred.
• Must demonstrate proven ability to analyze problems, propose solutions, and drive issues to resolution.
• Candidate must be results oriented, willing to take responsibility and accept accountability and work independently focusing on customer needs.
• Candidate must work well in a fast-paced, changing environment and be able to manage multiple tasks, projects and initiatives all with different priorities at the same time.
• Candidate must possess a genuine desire to provide superior customer service to our business, vendors, and I/T customers.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Install/Configure/Administer/Architect B2B, translation, encryption and compression software.
• Coordinate/configure/test vendor connections with business, applications, vendors, security, and legal departments.
• Assist new vendors with determination of technology problems.
• Evaluate and recommend new data movement software for use at this organization.
• Provide last level problem resolution services for issues requiring a re-engineering of a managed product or platform
• The engineer will be responsible for producing utilization reports for management.
• The engineer will be responsible for implementing service level agreements with the business, vendors, engineering support and operations personnel.
• The engineer will work with application developers to optimize the use of data movement within this organization. They will create infrastructure technology plans to support the ongoing improvement, optimization, and rationalization of data movement technologies that include high availability and DR scenarios.
Salary: Salary will commensurate with experience and qualifications. |
