Hi,
on a machine with MQ 6.0.2.0, Windows 2000 and german language settings I found this in AMQERR01.LOG:

It looks like a bug in MQ, in this file I didn't expect a binary dump from any data.
So I decided to change the language settings to english. It works for new queuemanager and for the tools (p.e. runmqsc). But how do I change a old queuemanager? These are still writing this data trash in the error log.

Did you install the English language file?
(custom install?)
You might have to change the LOCALE of the OS.

Don't know, I didn't install it by myself.

I did it.
Except the AMQERR01.LOG from old queuemanager all text is english.
Why? Where is the propertie controlling this?
Ich checked the propertie pages and the registry. All the same, but new queuemanager write its log in english, old ones in german.
